Come sit around the tree… look… listen… and sway along…

‘The Happy Tree’ becomes, after dusk, a smiling light sculpture that shines like a beacon.

This tree is very easy to integrate into festivals and events.
The installation works without electricity, is compact, can accommodate many people… and invites visitors to listen and relax.
Even in the evening, it is a cozy place thanks to its warm glow and friendly atmosphere.

All 8 recordings can be listened to via headphones.
During each installation of ‘Happy Tree’, the artists gift someone a young sapling.

The artists are from Belgium.

Duration: 3 hours. Additional hours available on request.

Specifications: Around ‘The Happy Tree’ are 8 wooden stumps, each containing an MP3 player (see photo).
Each stump has its own sound and plays a recording by different artists inspired by ‘Happy Tree’ (stories, music, singing, poetry, etc.).

  • Secured parking space – vehicle access to the construction site.
  • The organizer is responsible for safety.
  • The organizer must comply with fire department and/or police regulations.
  • If the performance takes place abroad and it is too late for the artists to return home, or if they must perform on consecutive days, the organizer must provide hotel accommodation, meals, and drinks for the entire team.
  • For daytime performances, the artists would like breakfast/lunch with drinks, and for evening performances, dinner should be provided.
  • Declaration to SABAM | the applicable fees are handled by the organizer/performer.
